Join our new after school art club - KIDS PICNIC

Here you will be able to uncover your creativity and learn new skills in our  space by the sea. We will be exploring photography, paper marbling, clay making, bookbinding, printmaking and much more.

Picnic is a place for photography that offers access to skills development, work experience, mentoring and creative networks. Acting as a community hub, Picnic hosts a programme of photography-led events, exhibitions, talks, workshops, and critique sessions.

Kids Picnic will be led by local art facilitator Sara Melin, who has developed and led workshops and after school clubs at institutions, including the V&A Museum, the Royal College of Art, Hastings Museum and Art Gallery and most recently, Hastings Contemporary. In addition to her creative work, Sara is passionate about education and is a qualified primary school teacher.

Back for the summer term, we’ll be exploring photography, weaving, sculpture, botanical printing, and more. Sessions run Mondays from 9th June to 14th July, 4–5pm.

Led by local artist and educator Sara Melin, with a special photography session by guest artist Alma Haser.

Hosted by Picnic, a creative hub for photography, learning, and community events.
